I SPY with my little eye.................

1 Woody Doll
1 Turlte
3 Baby Rings
1Singing Frog
1 Cow
1 Toy Car
It is fun to watch Spencer play. While the rest of us are in conversation Spencer will be placing his toy on the tree or around the house. He seems to keep pretty entertained relocating all of his trinket toys.
We went to see Santa at the Library. I wasn't going to have Lanaya sit with him but he insisted we try to get a picture. I thought it was cute she just wanted to play with his beard. Kaylee is so FUNNY! We've been letting them tuck themselves in for their naps. This position tops them all and just made us laugh. I'm sure that two chairs on their sides were not very comfortable.

Simple Photos

Excuse my lack of photography skills but at least I tried. Lanaya at 5 1/2 months
Kaylee at 4 years.

Birthday and Projects

Our sweet Kaylee is 4. She has been so excited for this day. Her favorite gift was paints. Apparently that is what she does at her friends houses and has seemed deprived of it at home. Papa embracing the super girly tea party. She put her pinky up.
I realize now why my mom didn't go all out for birthdays. It's not just that there were 10 of us, it's just that even one really creative party is enough stress to last 6 months.
I really wasn't planning on doing a nice cake put when I saw this I just had to. Kaylee actually picked out a more elaborate castle cake that I just didn't want to do but then she decided she wanted a crown on top more. Thank goodness.
Admiring Halloween Candy! I enjoyed watching them sort through all their candy because it reminded me of when I would do the same. Halloween was so much fun this year. I think it helps when we all get dressed up.
The Three Little Pigs
The Big Bad Wolf
Little Red Riding Hood
Adam has been working on the basement for many nights now and has finally finished the room. I would help when the kids went to bed and I'm so glad to be done now and get some sleep.

You'll notice in the pictures below that Kaylee is wearing a patch. We finally got her into the eye doctor again (after those stitches incidences) and have decided that glasses aren't cutting it. She pretty much looks over them to see. So.....to strengthen her weak eye we are covering the good one. It's really quite challenging because she can't see anything in that bad eye. We sat down to color and she just sat there very sad because she couldn't see the paper. I was asking her to trace a square and so she did her best and ended up just drawing a line without even looking at the paper because she had no idea where it was. Poor thing. It was so cute, the other night she prayed for her eye to get better. I hope this next week goes good with the patch.
A good thing about patching her eye right now is that she isn't in school and feeling behind. I've also noticed that she isn't self conscious yet especially when all the other kids comment on it. Sweet Lanaya enjoying the leaves.
Adam was so cute on Saturday to take the kids to rake the neighbors leaves and then jump in them. It was extra special because he was actually really busy working on the basement. You can tell that they were really having fun.
I'm beginning to think that we've corrupted Spencer because he doesn't smile normal anymore. It's always a syco cheese. He's still adorable but he wont have a decent picture for a while.
Awwwwwh! Isn't this cute. Uncle Beau took time out from studying to read the kids a book.
What a Stud?

Horrible Day Part 2

Just when I thought things were peachy again Kaylee needs a trip to the emergency room. The kids and I traveled to Logan with Adam because he was doing a job fair for work. Adam had left for the day and then Kaylee comes inside the house screaming and once again all bloody. I realized immediately that this cut was definitely going to need stitches because it was twice as long and twice as open. Needless to say I freaked out because I knew that Kaylee was not going to be happy, Adam wasn't around, and we couldn't get to our doctor in Price.
We went to the emergency room and I was surprised at how fast they got us in. They were really nice but to make a long story short the numbing solution didn't work and poor Kaylee was screaming at the nurses. She felt EVERYTHING! Adam and I are actually quite disappointed in how the stitches look and just hoping that it heals nicely. Because the stitches are in her eyebrow we are scared that there will be a large scar and it wont have hair in it resulting in a strange looking eyebrow. We even took her back to the emergency room to get a doctors opinion. He said that if it does look bad we can always get plastic surgery later...........Uh..........ya.....that wont be expensive at all. I guess only time will tell.
There were a lot of blessings from this experience. 1- That I had our insurance cards 2-That Adam's Mom was able to watch the other kids so that I was able to comfort Kaylee 3- That the nurses were so nice 4-That they got us in quickly and wasn't was full day event like last time. 5-And I recognize how amazing our doctor is here in Price.
The next step is to get her into the eye doctor to check her prescription. I'm pretty sure that her eyes are worse and that her depth perception is WAY off, hence the falling and stitches.

My horrible no good very bad day!

We went to the library for toddler time and it was closed for remodel. So we wandered over to JC Penny instead. I told the kids before we went in that there would be no running around like in the past. I even made Kaylee say....."Okay Mommy, I will obey." Ya right! First thing they did was play tag around the clothes rack. Then Kaylee biffed it and sliced her head on the metal rack. When I turned her around to look at her there was blood gushing out all over her face. Of course it looked worse than it really was. Thankfully a worker was close by and quickly got her manager to help us. The ladies were so nice and gave me motherly advice that I needed because I didn't know if she would need stitches. They advised me to go to Dr. Madsens and get his advice before we went to the emergency room. Because he was busy, he scheduled us to come back after nap time. So we all got a really good nap and then headed back to the office for stitches. Kaylee did really well considering all the strange things that were happening. It was so cute to see Spencer get teary because his sister was crying. I learned a lot about myself from this experience. I learned just how layed back I am and that I don't totally freak out. Yes I was concerned and scared but think I handled it well.

And there are things like this that make me SMILE. Spencer hung this bunny on the kitchen cupboard for me to find. It just made my day!

Awesom hand-me-down clothes!

Check out this super studdly suit on Spencer. It is almost too small but I pretty much am making him wear it as long as he can because it is so handsome. I bought myself these blue shorts at a yard sale 2 weeks ago and then Kaylee got the same blue shorts from a neighbor. I just had to get a matching picture. Kids day at the park. I finally got Kaylee to agree to sleep in curlers again. She always says that they hurt to sleep in. But look at those gorgous beach curls.....Isn't it worth it?
Beau's girlfriend Jessica...or dedida as Kaylee says it. She was such a sweetheart and played with the kids at the park because obviously my hands were full with 3 kids which makes it hard to play.

New Headbands

Spencer has discovered that crayons are great for coloring on furniture and that markers are great for skin. At least it was washable. Our poor garden this year only grew minature veggies. Most of our corn was this size.
I made this cute headband after seeing some on other blogs. It's great because it's just my leftover fabrics.
Isn't she a great model.

Labor Day Fishing Trip

For Adam's 30th birthday I got him a fishing license that he never used. I guess he thought the kids and I wouldn't want to come (because I often remind him how miserable it is when I'm prego...the smells, the heat....and so forth). He LOVES fishing and since Beau had just found an awesome spot at Potter's Pond we decided to go. It was fun to have the kids actually see a fish.

Lanaya's 3rd Month

Our sweet little Lanaya! I can't believe she is almost 4 months and could be eating real food (although I will wait for awhile). She has officially learned to roll over and seems to do it most in the crib. I often find her on her tummy and frustrated because she can't roll onto her back. She is so sweet and become well tempered in the day......she is still a stinker at night and it really is starting to wear me out. Hopefully I can find a way to have her sleep longer.

Beginning to laugh

Vacation continued.....

Another cooking picture but I've been noticing that Kaylee isn't a toddler anymore, she's a little girl. Lanaya loves to sit at the computer with Adam. It makes me laugh because it looks like she is reading everything he is. We got a picture just like this of Kaylee. So sweet.
Well I hope that Carrie got a better picture than I did but these two are 2nd cousins or something. It was funny because Carrie and I wore the same shirt and then we dressed our babies in the same pj's. Wow! We must be related. These next few pictures are of my Mom's reunion. Not many people made it but it sure was fun to be with Carrie and Jake.
I can't believe how much food my teenage brothers eat.
Little Axel taking a bath in Mom's kitchen sink. What a cutie? He has got the most hillarious laugh/chuckle.
Lydia driving the beasty suburban. I can't believe she's almost 16.
Lou did Kaylee's hair like Michelle on Full House. It was really quite cute.
We stopped to play at this Park in Spanish Fork to break-up the long drive. They were too scared to get in but at least we tried.
Again driving the Gater. Spencer even started to drive.
Aunt Christina letting Kaylee drive the lawn mower. She couldn't stop talking about how fun that was.
Awesome picture that Adam took of a dragonfly.
The dragonfly on Kaylee's finger...notice her wrapped hand still sprained from the week before.
Spencer holding the dragonfly.
