Picture Ideas

Adam has saved many picture ideas from pinterest and we tried one out.  Isn't it so sad?

Our Wonderful Neighbors

We have been so blessed to have wonderful neighbors.  They really are life saves for me.  They will rough the kids up around dinner time (which they desperately need) so I can make dinner, they will watch the kids on a moments notice, AND they will sugar them up before bedtime.  We LOVE them!
They invited us over for a watermelon bash.  The kids smashed the watermelon and we all enjoyed eating off the ground.  It was really fun.  We also reconfirmed what we already knew... that Green River Melons are by far the best tasting.

 Even Lanaya joined in.
Then Kaylee started a water fight which is her new favorite thing thanks to Ryan.  So we all got soaked.  Adam and Ryan scuffled on the lawn and we just had to get a picture of that.

Top of Utah Half Marathon

I am SO excited to tell everyone about my first half marathon.  It all started about 2 years ago when I did my first 10k.  The bus drove the 1/2 marathoners to the top and I swore that I would never be crazy enough to do a half marathon because it was so far.  In June I heard that my friend from high school was wanting to run a half in Logan.  I thought about it for a few days and couldn't get it out of my mind.  So I called her and we both signed up.
Then I got a knee injury and I couldn't walk for 2 weeks.  After an X-ray that showed everything was okay I started to train again.  It has seemed like a long summer of running because I have to run early in the morning or when the kids go to bed. Sometimes it was still pitch black out side for my first hour of running and not only that I am so paranoid to run by myself.

Thanks for running with me!  I would have never had this awesome experience.

Race day finally came and we were both so ready for this long anticipated race to be over.  My goal was to run this race in under 2 hours and have a positive attitude while running.  (I've struggled in the past mentally during a race and it was awful.)  I think 2 hours is a popular goal for most 1/2 marathoners but I really had no idea how well I would do under the pressure.
The first 6 miles were downhill out of the canyon and then the rest was pretty flat except mile 11 which was uphill.  At mile 9 a pacer past me and his sign said 1:50minutes.  I had no idea I was running that pace and I was so happy.  I tried to keep him within 100yrds for the rest of the race and at the end I had enough juice to catch up to him.  When I crossed the line I just wanted to cry because I was so HAPPY!
My final time was 1:50:12!
That's an 8:25 mile for 13 miles.  Wahoo!  Needless to say I am so sore because I don't train at that speed nor do I run downhill for that long.
I stayed at the park for the drawings.  They were giving away 2 treadmill that I desperately need.  I didn't win a treadmill but I did win a moose and a rock.  HaHa  I know you're jealous.

July Activity

She is always sneaking out to the raspberries.

We made these worms.  Spencer just dove in but it took some convincing to get Kaylee to eat one.
For the fourth we went to the Vernal parade.
Adam found a chair in the carseat.

This is a picture of the Church Camp fire right off the road.

I made a chalkboard out of our old table top.  Too bad the wood is falling apart and we have to make a new one already.  But they love it.

We been praying for rain and finally got an awesome storm to play in.  It was so cute because when it started raining I asked the kids who prayed for rain.  They both raised the hands and said I prayed for rain.  They are still praying everyday for rain and thanking Heavenly Father for the rain we did get.

Dad reads them a book everynight.

They play so well together.   Even if it means that they made a huge mess.  It's so nice that they can keep themselves entertained.

Lanaya is 1

This is pretty sad, I only got one picture from her birthday.  Lanaya is so cute and fun to be around.  She is so friendly unlike her siblings and so so so smart.  We can't believe she is already one.  Happy Birthday!

She will always get out rags and help clean the floor.  It is so cute.
I  questioned putting this picture on but I have to brag.  She has already gone potty about 8 times.  It's not consistant yet but we'll definitely keep trying.
She is so busy and definitley a climber.
I'm so grateful to have this little one around to bring us smiles everyday.

Memorial Day Zoo

Grandma and Lanaya looking at the elephants.
 His signature smile.

Kaylee was so excited.  I think this was the perfect age to take them.
 They loved the merry-go-round.
 Silly Daddy!
Spencer was most excited about the train ride.  Good thing he got to sit with Grandpa.

New Summer Hair

This is Kaylee's before hair.  It was so long and pretty but only on the days I did something to it.  She was always holding it up and complaining that her neck was hot.  So we convinced her to let me cut it.  I took some scissors to it one afternoon and Adam was so suprised when he got home.
This is Kaylee's after picture.  After a professional cut it.  My cut wasn't so cute. It looks darker and thicker. I love it.
This is my new hair.  I had it lightened for the second time so I'm pretty blond.  This picture doesn't show it well but I did get mistaken as Paige.  I'm liking it so far.
