Baby Announcement

We found out what gender our baby is.  I had an ultrasound about 2 weeks ago and Adam was not able to come.  So I decided to NOT find out right away and to save the surprise for my birthday.  My sweet neighbor made us the cake so we all would be surprised......and were we surprised?  Most everyone, like 90%, thought we were having a boy.  But nope, IT'S A GIRL!

We are due November 16th.  Hurray for half-way!

Don't mind my nasty picture.  I've been so sick.  But isn't this cake a cute idea?  The kids loved the candy in the middle.  Poor little Spencer wanted it to be a boy so bad.  He still says, "But I wanted it to be a boy."  Kaylee says we should name her 'Pearl' and when I told her that Mommy and Daddy got to pick the name she was a bit disappointed.

Kaylee had surgery on her eye last week.  It was a rough two days but it hasn't slowed her down any.
Our favorite outside toy is a squirt bottle.  Lanaya loves to spray people and it's so cute how she hold it.

They all sport sun glasses when Kaylee needs to wear them.
Adam got a new grill for father's day.  So we had a bbq with family to break it in.

Nauvoo Trip

We took a 1:00am flight and it ended up being terrible.  I did not get a wink.  Next time I'll sit by Adam so I have something to rest my head on.
 The kids loved the airplane.

When we finally got to Ohio we were all starved and tired.  We ate at IHOP and the kids loved their smiley face pancakes.
Most of the family would say that Kirtland was their favorite spot to visit.  This was my favorite place because the families were blessed with so much and able to help the prophet Joseph and many more families that were traveling West.  Then when asked to give up everything they had so much faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ that they left it all behind.  I loved seeing how the Lord prepared these families so that they could help the church grow.
This is a picture in the Newel K. Whitney Store in the room where Christ appeared to the School of the Prophet.  There were so many revelations in Kirtland and so many visitations from Heavenly beings that this room and others in Kirtland were so special.
Spencer probably wont remember anything from this trip.  But he sure loved to find bugs.  He is hold a handful of worms from the Morley farm.
Both Kaylee and Spencer say that the horses and oxen were their favorite part.

Adam found this crazy hat with hair in the gas station and is now wishing he would have bought it.

We went on a fairy boat ride and in the Mark Twain Caves.  Kaylee was so happy and giving lots of hugs the whole time.  It was cute to see her excited and enjoying the trip.

The most peaceful part of the trip was in Nauvoo.  Adam soaked it all in because this was his first time there.  Every night he went to watch the sun set by the temple.  Nauvoo's temple is the most beautiful I've ever seen and we enjoyed having it so close.

This was a fun picture we took at Adam-ondi-Ahman.  Spencer was the only one to come away with ticks, three of them that we know of.

We took a fun day and went to a miniature golf and arcade place.  It was nice to get a brake from traveling. My Dad enjoyed the batting cage and this picture is just silly and makes me laugh.

My siblings were so wonderful on the trip.  They took my kids potty, played games, fed them, and a million other little things that made the trip so nice for Adam and I.  Thank you  for all the help.

May

Kaylee graduated from preschool.  As a mom I have never felt to proud of her.  I had no idea she was the best overall student.  Then she won the Silent Scholar Award which is so fitting and the most file folder games.  I could have guessed she was loved by her teacher but it didn't sink in until I heard her teacher praise her.  I just wanted to cry because Kaylee is such a good student.
We had to get a picture of Spencer sleeping with his toys all lined up.  He does this almost every day.
This picture is SO sad.   This is the only picture I took of Lanaya on her birthday.  She was so cute for the days just before her birthday.  Anytime we would mention her birthday she would say 'pink' as an instant response.  So we had pink jello cake.

April Fun

She doesn't look thrilled at all.  But she sure came home with some loot.
Spencer got an airplane kite for his birthday and this was the first time we were able to take it out.  He LOVED it.  It could pretty much carry him away but he did great.

Adam and I ran a 5k in Price.  This was Adam's first run and he did great.  I was right behind him the whole time.  Everytime he would start to walk I would think I could catch him.  Then he'd look behind him and start running.  I thought it was because he saw I was coming but he really had no idea it was me.
Lanaya got a carrot up her nose.  It was so high we couldn't see it.  We tried tweezers but it was too soft but thankfully she can blow really hard.  I don't think she'll be doing that again.
This past weekend we went to Roosevelt to celebrate my DAD's 50th birthday.  We also were there when JJ was ordained an Elder.  He just got his mission call to Ugana Africa.  Cool Huh!

Our soon to be sister Katy fitting in just fine with the family.
We had everyone together so we wanted to take a picture.  Except Lydia who was off cleaning up after prom.  But we couldn't wait any longer.  Sorry Lyd!

March

We celebrated Beau's birthday with a game night at the Garvin's house.  We played games were use to play for FHE.  We started with the Limbo because Beau is so good at it and has won money for it before.  He got to 20 inches.  He's amazing.  Then we played this flour game where you have to dig the dime out if you make the tower fall.

We also played Wacky 6 and won.  BooYa!  Probably just beginners luck.
We use to play this candy bar game for birthday parties all the time.  If you roll doubles you have to get dressed then started opening the candy bar.  It was much funner as adults.

We contributed a minute to win it game.  The pudding was dropped into the cup on their forheads.  Cassi was awesome and Adam not so much.  He got Brock's face pretty good.  They were such good sports.

We had some crazy snow one morning so we went sledding.  It was not good snow but we still had fun.  Kaylee and Spencer liked to go with Brock because he would pull them back up.
I should have gotten a picture of them biffin' it.
 The St. Patrick's Day Parade.
It was 65 degrees one day so the kids went outside to wash their bikes.  Lanaya is washing the jeep.  It was so cute.
Adam had a rough day this week.  Kaylee had a boogery eye at church so he took all the kids home after sacrament.  He gave her some eye drops and put her down for a nap.  He told me what he did when I came home and I said, "What eye drops in the fridge?"  He had given her the drops for her lazy eye that we haven't used for a year.  They are suppose to weaken her good eye but because he put it in both eyes it weakened both.  The extra bad news is that they dilate the eyes for about 2 weeks.  Poor little girl.

As Adam was feeling bad about that he pulled Lanaya's arm out of socket.  Good thing Derek, our almost PA, was around and help ease our fear of a broken bone.  We took her into the doctor the next morning and then to get an x-ray.  Before they could call us with the results she had thrown off the sling and was feeling 100% better.  I guess someone touched her arm just right during all the chaos.

Poor Adam felt like the worst Dad ever.
