Easter

It's my families tradition (we at least try to go every year) to go camping in the desert for Easter. This was Adam's first time going and he was not excited. The thought of camping and desert just don't go together. He would only camp in the mountains. But when we got there he was pleasantly surpised to be surrounded with cool rock formations. The picture above reminded Adam of the pyramids. My sister Cass and I were crazy and bored so we hiked the kids up the rocky mountain. Kaylee and Spencer had to be held the whole way. I think that they just knew they weren't on stable enough ground because when we got to the top they were fine.
Spencer falls asleep so easy in the car. It seems that lately he'll fall asleep anywhere.
Adam's parents and sibling came for Easter weekend. Adam has wanted to make Easter Eggs using silk ties. So we looked it up online, went to DI in search for silk ties and TADA--they are super easy and way cool looking. You just boil them in vinegar water and they look like marble eggs.
Kaylee and Christina playing with her new dinnerware. Isn't Kaylee a cheeser?
The park had a hunt for the kid a week early so we decided we should go to help Kaylee figure the whole Easter Bunny thing out. When they said "GO" Kaylee just stood there frightened as all the other kids hogged the eggs. I finally got her to pick one up by telling her to get the purple ones. When all the eggs were gone Kaylee said,"More Eggs?" So she finally figured it out for our own hunt at the house.
Kaylee and Spencer love their blankets. At night we all usually end up lying on them in preparation for bed.
This is Kaylee's new friend Jocelyn. They are so similar and play well together. It's so cute when they hold hands going up the slide. Kaylee always talks about having her come play. It's fun to see her interact with other children.
This picture is something my Grandma Corky stitched for me. It usually takes a year for her to complete one but she got sick and finished it early. It is for my birthday...at little early. It looks fantastic in our kitchen and matches perfectly. Thanks Grandma!

It's offically Spring!

This is how I know it is spring. Yesterday there were no bugs in the house and today there are 100's of mystery ants. I first noticed them on the bathroom counter and then most disturbingly in my socks that I was putting on. It was hard to think that they were only in our clothes. But I thought about it and came to the conclusion that I must have picked them up from downstairs where I change clothes to exercise. I was right, it took me awhile to find out where they were coming from but I found the source and so today's project is to eliminate them. I love this picture of Spencer. It's amazing how children squat with perfect form. It's adorable!
Kaylee and Spencer have discovered the fun of dress-ups. Thanks to my aunt Natalie we have many fun girly sparkly outfits. We don't really like putting Spencer in the leatards so thank goodness there is this cute Indian vest.
Kaylee wanted to take a nap in this one today. Why Not? Right?
Kaylee loves to play peek-a-boo with Spencer in our curtains and this is the outcome. I don't think she realizes what is going on though.
I'm still nervous everytime I cut Spencer's hair. He looks really calm in this picture but it is not easy having a moving target.

We've just had an age crisis!

TaDa! Yes, he really did it. He shaved his head on his 30th birthday. I can't believe he even considered it and I'm sure most of you are just as suprised. Adam's hair has been a touchy subject lately because it is thinning. He says he'll just go with it now instead of fighting it. Of course we had to have a little fun. We shaved a circle on the top and then took these pictures. We even raised the back hair line. Eeewwwh!
I saw a picture of this cake online and had to make it. It is so Adam. He loves his french fries.
I actually did something for Adam's birthday this year. In the past it has seem lame to charge the card and spend his money. So this year I asked his parents to help me out so that we could buy a cordless power drill. We've really been needing one but it's just something that Adam wouldn't buy yet. He was very surprised and loves it. I also learned to play the birthday song on the piano. It's a song that my grandma Morley plays whenever she's at a party. It's an upbeat fun version that I'm sure I'll play forever.
This was a huge icicle from our house. Kaylee like to eat it.

February Pictures

We've been wanting to get a picture of us three girls with our husbands but for some reason we never do. (I'll feel grungie, or we're in our pj's, or their hair needs to be cut) Adam and I decided we just needed to make it happen because their is no way that all three of us girls will be looking good at the same time. I love this picture though because Cass and Tom are just being their silly selves. And isn't Adam so HOTT! We went bowling with a couple from our old ward. It was fun this time because Kaylee started to figure it out. She wasn't scared of playing. It probably helps that the ball was pink.
Spencer has started Kissing now and it is all Slobber and Open Mouth. Isn't he cute!
This is really funny to watch because Kaylee is so tender with him. She talks to him like a baby and "helps" him walk around. I'm just suprised that Spencer lets her. Sometimes Spencer just laughs the whole time.
I told Adam that I need more pictures with the kids so here are a few. They both love this same book and have to read it together on my lap or else there is a tantrum.
This is my favorite picture because it shows Kaylee's personality. Lately she has been wearing her apron around the house 24/7. He loves to help mommy make food so she can lick the spoon.

These are some memorable pictures of Spencer at age 1. His birthday was this past week and I am just realizing how many good pictures we DON'T have of him. But I love this picture of him in his huge coat.
He always has pouchy lips. His little pouty face is so sad. Oops! These pictures are all backwards so you get to see the end result first. He sure was mad when we finally took the cake away.
Spencer just wanted to dive right in. He didn't even let us sing yet.
Spencer is not talking at all yet but he has learned how to point to things that he wants. It is really adorable because he has pudgy little fingers.
Happy Birthday Spence we Love You!

A Whole Lot of December Pictures

We took an unexpected trip to Logan during Christmas for a funeral. These are the only two pictures we took. Spencer and Kaylee enjoying every bit of cake.
Christmas flowers that Adam suprised me with on Christmas morning. How sweet!
The before and after picture of Spencer curiosity of the "Tower of Cups" This picture is sideways, but Hilarious. Kaylee's got a toy kitchen for christmas and she went to sleep with a plate of hot dogs.
Christmas dinner with my family. As a tradition we always dress up in our church clothes and sing happy birthday to Jesus.
We went bowling while daddy worked.
Isn't she a hoot. She sure knows how to make us smile.
Cousin Addison and Kaylee. It was cute because they know how to say each others names now.
A fun Christmas cake that was really fun to make.
